Our Clinic provides treatment for all types of caries:
- We treat caries while it is still at the spot stage (white or dark), when it does not cause unpleasant sensations, but is starting to destroy the tooth;
- We successfully rid our patients of superficial caries;
- We manage moderate caries, defining the dental cavity;
- We treat deep dental caries.
Dentists have been treating caries for a long time. We have been very successful at this at our Clinic, in both children and adults!
How does the treatment go? It depends on the stage of the disease. We use the remineralization method, treat a cavity with special solutions, or fill it with the most up-to-date materials with or without a medicine insert. Our specialists always strive to save even children’s baby teeth. That’s why, apart from fillings, we use fluoride therapy when treating caries in children, as it is a method that permits to save the teeth that the disease has “worked” on. To postpone or avoid removing baby teeth with deep caries, we use temporary fillings saturated with medicine that helps to clean the root canal. The dentist can recommend a 5-7-year-old to have fissures sealed with the same purpose. Fissures are chewing surfaces of the premolars and molars that are made of grooves and furrows and are hard to clean. This area is filled with a special dental sealant that prevents appearance of caries.
When treating caries in children, our Clinic’s specialists use a specific method, as many little ones are afraid to be at the dentist’s. We recommend that you talk to your child in advance so that a visit to the dentist does not become stressful and… bring him or her to our Clinic. Here, while doing all the procedures, a doctor is going to be talking to the little one, commenting on what he is doing, winning him or her over. When treating caries in children, we use pastes that taste good and gentle therapy methods whenever possible. For example, if a child is scared of the drill, we clean out a cavity manually with the help of special tools. Does your child have a high pain threshold? Our doctors will offer to have the procedure done using safe anesthetics. Apart from treating caries, we also guarantee to teach you and your child oral hygiene routines, tell you what changes to make in your nutrition, and, if necessary, professionally clean your teeth using the newest equipment. We do our best for the good of our customers!
Filling teeth
To fill a cavity that has formed in a tooth for any possible reason dentists use a method of tooth filling. A tooth can be filled with the help of various materials:
- Composite fillings allow a dentist to model the mass, adjusting it to the necessary size and shape, and then to attach it safely to the affected spot using a special lamp;
- Glass ionomer cements are durable and very resistant to the action of external factors;
- Ceramic fillings are durable and do not change color with time.
The composite fillings are the most popular type among the permanent fillings right now. They are put in layers and harden only after contact with an ultraviolet lamp, a fact that speaks of their durability and further on allows for adhesive partial filling correction without replacing the filling completely, e.g. in case of layering or chipping. Composite fillings allow for the destroyed tooth to be restored completely, as well as for its length, color, shape to be changed, if necessary. But sometimes, for a composite filling to be put in, it is necessary to have the root canal treatment and filling procedure, when the root canals are cleaned out and filled with special material. Root canal filling is complex, as some teeth have one canal (incisors), others have several (premolars), and yet other ones have up to four canals (molars, teeth that do the chewing). They all need to be found, cleaned out and filled.
Besides, the canals vary in length, which needs to be measured correctly during the procedure, because, if a canal is not filled completely, it can lead to serious issues afterward (pain, inflammation, periodontal disease that can often lead to tooth loss). And if you take into consideration that root canals are not straight but curved, the task is made even more complex, isn’t it?.. Specialists working in our Clinics can handle it at the top level! They treat their job responsibly and do not allow for negligence either in tooth filling or in canal filling.
